In 1890, in the small village of Maurienne in Savoie, France, Joseph Opinel invented the pocket knife that now bears the same name. Based in Chambéry in the heart of the Alps, the company is still run by the Opinel family and produces products with the same high quality that has made them famous for 130 years. Their collection consists of knives and tools that are perfect for e.g. do-it-yourselfers and outdoor enthusiasts.
