Casström No.3 Dangler
The No.3 Dangler is an accessory to allow your knife to hang further down from your waist, dangle freely so you can move freely and make handling on and off the belt easier. The specially designed D-ring can also be used for many other purposes.
More About the Casström No.3 Dangler
Many of our customers have requested an extended belt loop, a "dangler" so that the knife can be easily accessed even when wearing a jacket or a large backpack with a hip belt. A dangler also makes it easy to sit down without the knife getting in the way. Since the sheath hangs and can be bent at the height of the hip joint, it makes the knife very flexible if you anchor it in your leg, you can run, climb and bend almost without the knife being noticeable.
We have also designed the D-ring itself as a carabiner and thus opened up many new functions and uses. You can easily remove the knife without having to open the belt, you can easily move the knife to your backpack instead, or just quickly remove it if you are going into a city. The D-ring is made of strong 8mm thick aluminum and has in tests managed to hold over 400 kg which means that you can use it for lots of different purposes such as hanging equipment, pulling an animal or anchoring a dog leash. It's also great for anchoring and quickly suspending a tarp or hammock!
Note that the D-ring should not be used for rock climbing as an accidental fall can create forces in excess of 400 kg even if the person in question is of low body weight.
The belt suspension is made from heavy duty 3mm thick vegetable tanned cow leather available in Cognac brown, black or dark brown. The loop can handle belts up to 5 cm wide. The dangler's D-ring takes knife sheaths with a width of up to 34 mm.
