The oiled Masurian Birch handle has a solid hand finish, straight design and gives the wonderful feeling of natural wood. -The fire steel with matching handle has an Auermetall ferrocerium rod that provides an even wave of sparks, regardless of the weather. -Case in heavy vegetable-tanned European leather with drainage holes and holder for the fire steel. -Knife blade made of the premium steel Sleipner from Swedish Uddeholm, a steel that keeps its sharpness very well even in heavy use, such as wood splitting. -Scandinavian sharpening which, together with the steel properties, makes the knife robust, easy to carve with and easy to break in the field.
