The Amberg Compact is based on the same solid construction as the other Amberg models, but in a shorter format with a 3-inch blade. It is lightweight, well-balanced and strong enough for everyday use in the outdoors - perfect as a more portable knife for day hikes, camping and hunting. Designed to be worn on the belt and used in the field for hiking, fishing, hunting and camping. The short blade provides high precision for carving, fire starting and other detailed work, while the sharpened spine works with kindling. The Amberg has a thoughtfully designed handle with a flatter shape to suit more users and different grips. It is narrower at the front with grooves along the back for better control in precision work. The friction pattern is finer and laboratory tested for a secure grip even in wet, cold or greasy conditions. The knife case is symmetrical and can be used by both right and left handed users. The 77 mm long blade is 2 mm thick and made of Swedish stainless steel (12C27) with a 56.5 in HRC. The steel, together with the Scandi and flange grinding, provides high precision in controlled cuts and makes the knife easy to sharpen and maintain in the field. The ground back is compatible with ignition steel. Made in Mora, Sweden Amberg Compact is made in Mora with 135 years of experience in Swedish knife craftsmanship.
