More about the Denver Emergency Radio SCD-2033

During power outages and other disruptions, access to reliable information is an important part of emergency preparedness. The Denver SCD-2033 receives both DAB+ and FM radio and features a built-in antenna as well as memory for 30 preset stations on each radio band.

The built-in rechargeable lithium-polymer battery has a capacity of 2,000 mAh. The radio can be charged via USB-C, the integrated solar panel or the hand crank, providing several charging options when access to mains electricity is limited. The USB-A output also allows the battery to be used as an emergency power source for devices such as a mobile phone.

The SCD-2033 also features Bluetooth, allowing the radio to be used as a wireless speaker with a mobile phone or other compatible device. The built-in speaker has an output of 2 W RMS.

For use during power outages and in the dark, the radio features a built-in 3 W LED flashlight and SOS light. The LCD display shows radio information and makes it easy to navigate between functions and stored stations.

The radio also supports ASA (Automatic Safety Alert), a system for automatic safety warnings used in countries including Germany. This function depends on compatible warning systems and broadcasts being available in the country where the radio is used.

The combination of DAB+/FM radio, multiple charging options, emergency power and lighting makes the Denver SCD-2033 a practical addition to an emergency kit, car, caravan or camping equipment.
