Katadyn Rapidyn Gravity Filter 10L
has been developed as a robust and easy-to-use water filter for emergency situations and humanitarian missions where access to clean drinking water is limited. The system uses gravity to draw water through the filter and therefore requires neither electricity nor manual pumping.
The ceramic microfilter has a pore size of 0.2 microns and removes bacteria, protozoa, cysts, sediment, and particles larger than 0.2 microns without the use of chemicals. At the same time, the water’s essential minerals are retained.
More about the Katadyn Rapidyn Gravity Filter
The system has a capacity of up to 20,000 liters before the included components need to be replaced and produces approximately 4 liters of filtered water per hour. The filter element can be cleaned in the field, making the system well-suited for extended missions and regular use.
Rapidyn comes with pre-filled 10-liter containers, allowing the system to be set up quickly and put into use right away. The outlet tap is designed to reduce the risk of the purified water becoming recontaminated through contact with dirty hands.
The Katadyn Rapidyn Gravity Filter 10L meets the WHO “Highly Protective” classification according to the WHO Household Water Treatment Standard for bacteria and protozoa.
