How to use the XStream Filter Straw?
The filter can be used with the supplied hoses directly as a straw, or alternatively use the hand pump to fill a clean vessel with filtered drinking water. With the included hoses with quick connectors, the filter becomes very versatile.
How does the XStream Filter Straw work?
The Captivator Adsorption Media is an electroadsorptive filter (Strong electric fields acting on the surface layer of a semiconductor gas sensor can change its adsorption characteristics for gases and thus its sensor behavior) with a very strong positive charge potential. The charge is neither electrostatic nor a result of chemical treatment. Instead, the medium itself has an electrokinetic potential that naturally generates a charge field created by the mineral Pseudoboehmite when the medium is wet.
